600-room resort hotel overlooking rice paddies and mangrove forests abutting the South China Sea. The resort embodies a conservation theme since the area mangroves are home to the endangered sea animal, manatees and other wildfowl. A nature preserve and small museum and marina informs the public of conservation efforts to preserve this important mammal. The hotel features a 1000 seat convention hall connected to a large Chinese style spa and entertainment. A separate western style spa is set in a row of private villas on stilts above the rice paddies below. The hotel is the main feature of the resort and supports the reort villas and golf and other recreational activities.
